The move to an OS based on Ubuntu 2022.04 brings with it an new OS install platform.
The guidance below shows the order of events when installing.
First write your ISO to USB using any tool capable of the task, such as Win32Diskimager on Windows or Balena Etcher on Mac
Insert your USB stick and boot the server, typically with the F11 key to select your One Time Boot Menu, selecting the USB stick as your boot device,
When prompted select Install ESOS 2025.x.x (advanced)
(unattended can only be used where the drives have not been previously used)
After some minutes the installer will complete loading and prompt the selection of your OS Disks
Select both OS drives (noting the size to confirm the correct devices) where linux mirroring is to be used, select the only drive shown where hardware mirroring is in place, as used in Ultimate series servers, and click OK:
You will then be prompted to select one or more media RAID's should they exist, selecting the disk(s) then OK:
you will then be prompted to configure your network, typically you will not configure the network and select Continue without network:
The installer will then calculate the steps needed based on your previous responses and prompt you with the plan, if you continue the data will be wiped from any disks you have selected in the previous menus and the install will begin, select Continue:
The install will now run for a period of time, typically 20-30 minutes, though this will vary depending on the hardware in use:
When complete, you will be prompted to Reboot Now:
After a few minutes you will be prompted to remove the installation media and press ENTER, Do so:
The system should now reboot and leave you at the editshare login screen if all has proceeded as expected:
