Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) optimizes the viewing experience for a wide variety of network connection speeds. With ABR, any new screeners added will have up to two proxies created from it upon upload based on the source resolution. If the source file is 1080p or higher, a 720p and 1080p proxy will be created. If the source file is 720p, only a 720p proxy will be created. If the source file is 540p, only a 540p proxy will be created.
Playback Options
The viewer has three options to choose from pertaining to playback quality. Depending on the resolution of the original file uploaded these three options will be Auto, HD (1080p), HD (720p), and SD (540p).
Auto will be the default selection. Screeners.com will adjust the playback resolution according to your internet connection speed for the least interrupted viewing experience automatically. Screeners will switch between the two during playback depending on the network connection and what it thinks will best suit the users specific network connection.
Resolution Selection
The HD button will appear on the right side of the player for screeners that have more than one resolution they can select from. By clicking on the HD button, the user will be able to choose which playback option they would like to experience.
