Creating a Template
On the Administrator Screeners Home Page, select Geo-Restriction under Watermarks to get started on creating a new Geo-Restriction template.
Select Create Template to begin the creation of your new Geo-Restriction template. Here you can add a Template Name and Description and select the areas for your Geo-Restriction. You can also select whether this template should restrict or allow access to selected areas. For Example: You may want a specific location to be the only location that has access to the screener (allow location) or you may want to designate specific areas that are restricted from accessing the screener (restrict selected).
Once you have finished with your chosen selections, click on Create Template.
Adding a Template
You are able to add geo-restriction templates to the Title level. Below the Start and End Dates for your Screener, select the dropdown for Geo-Restriction template to add your Geo-Restriction to your screener.
If a viewer attempts to watch the screener in a restricted area, the video will not play and instead a message will display that states that the screener is not available in their location.
You also have the option to set a default Geo-Restriction from your created templates that when selected will automatically be added to any new Title that is created. This can be turned on in the Settings section of your account under Account Settings.
Note: Geo-Restrictions only apply to Viewers and does not apply to Admins.
You can find information on what countries and regions are supported for Geo-Restrictions at Adding Geo-Restrictions to Screeners.
