Screeners.com uses Magic Links as a more secure login workflow than the traditional username-and-password combination. In our workflow, you enter your email address and, if it is registered with Screeners.com, a magic link will be sent to your inbox. Simply open the email and click on the link to be logged in to Screeners.com, so you can begin viewing your screener.
If your login is not successful, there are two error messages you may see:
Magic Link "Same place" error
Because we don’t use password-and-username login, our Magic Link system uses cookies on your browser to track you. For this reason, you must open Magic Links on the same browser you requested them in. This means if you request the Magic Link in Safari and open it in Chrome, it will be invalid. Similarly, if you request the Magic Link on your phone, it will not open on your computer. For this reason, it is important to take note of the email application you use to check your inbox— if it is Outlook, your Magic Links may automatically open in Internet Explorer.
Please note that once a Magic Link has been opened, it cannot be used again. |
If you are experiencing repeated “Same place” error messages, we suggest that instead of clicking on the “Log in Now” button, you copy the Direct Link located at the bottom of the email and paste that link into the browser you requested the Magic Link from.
Magic Link is "Expired"
Magic Links expire after twenty minutes, and after this point, you will have to request a new one. If you believe your Magic Links are expiring before that twenty minute period, please delete all previous Magic Links and send yourself a new one. If your Magic Links appear delayed, please contact our support team to troubleshoot.
Please note that Magic Links are distinct from screener links; if your Magic Link expires, that doesn’t mean the screeners you have access to will expire.
