Screeners.com allows networks to add their own closed captioning tracks. If a screener has captions offered, you will see a “CC” icon in the screener player controls which can be clicked on enable the captions to play alongside the screener.*
If the screener only has a single caption track available, clicking the “CC” button once will begin playing the caption track. If the screener has multiple caption tracks available, hovering over the “CC” button with your mouse will cause a small menu of the languages available to appear. Select your language and the track will begin playing.
Captions will appear on the bottom of the player. To turn captions off again, simply click the “CC” button once again for screeners with only a single caption track, or, if there are multiple tracks available, select “Off” from the language menu.
*Due to current limitations, closed captioning is not available for the Firefox web browser on Android mobile devices. Similarly, the “CC” button will always appear on an iPad, an iPhone, or on the Safari web browser regardless of the screener having a caption track uploaded or not.
