What is Multifactor Authentication (MFA)?
MFA adds another layer of security to the login process. By enabling MFA, you link your Screeners.com account to an authenticator app on your phone. The app provides you with an MFA code that you enter on Screeners.com to verify your identity. This way, someone would need access to both your email account and your phone in order to access the screeners in your account.
Authy and Google Authenticator are two popular authenticator apps. If you lose your phone, Authy has a “multi-device” feature that lets you verify your identity on your new phone and regain access to your MFA codes.

Once you enable MFA on your Screeners.com account, you will be able to watch any title that requires MFA. You will need to log in using MFA for as long as MFA remains enabled on your account.
How Do I Enable MFA?
To enable MFA, start by clicking your user profile in the top right corner. Then, select Multifactor Authentication.
The next page will say, “Multifactor Authentication is disabled.” Turn on MFA by clicking Enable MFA.
This will present you with a QR code.
You will need to open an authenticator app, such as Authy, on your phone. Look for a plus sign or “Add Account” button in the app. Then, use the authenticator app to scan the QR code on the screen. (As an alternative to scanning the QR code, you can manually enter the code instead.)
“Screeners.com” will appear in your authenticator app. Later, you can edit this entry’s nickname to help you identify it as your Screeners.com MFA code.
Once you tap Save, your Screeners.com account is linked to the authenticator app. The app will provide you with an MFA code.
Back in Screeners.com, enter this MFA code under “Enter Confirmation Code.” Then, click Enable MFA.
For security reasons, you will be automatically logged out of Screeners.com. This logout is a one-time event in the MFA setup. You will not be logged out of Screeners.com each time you use MFA.
You must now log back in using your MFA code. On the login page, enter your email, and click Send Magic Link.
Check your inbox for an email from Screeners.com. Then, click the Login Now button contained in the email.
This will take you back to Screeners.com to enter your MFA code. Check your authenticator app for your code.
Enter the code. Then, hit the Enter key on your keyboard or click Verify Code.
For security reasons, you have two minutes to complete this step. The two-minute window begins when you open the login link. If you take longer than two minutes, you’ll need to request a new login link.
You can now access your Screeners.com account with MFA enabled. As one final step, you will be asked to add a recovery number. This step only takes a minute, and it will save you time if you ever lose access to your MFA code.
Select your country code. You can click into the country-code menu and start typing a country’s name to find its code. Then, enter your phone number without any spaces or dashes.
Once you enter your number, click Send Code. You will see the message: “A code has been sent to your mobile device.”
Check your phone for an SMS/text message that contains your six-digit code.
Back in Screeners.com, enter the code, and click Set up SMS.
You’ve now added a recovery number to your account. If you ever lose access to your MFA, you can enter your number, receive a recovery code, and get back into Screeners.com.
How Do I Disable MFA?
To disable MFA, start by clicking your user profile in the top right corner. Then, select “Multifactor Authentication.”
The page will say, “Multifactor Authentication is enabled.”
Open the authenticator app on your phone, and find the MFA code for Screeners.com.
Enter the code, and then click Disable.
A confirmation message will indicate that MFA is no longer enabled. You will not need to enter an MFA code to log into Screeners.com, and you will not have access to any titles that require MFA. If you choose to turn MFA back on, please follow the steps outlined in the previous section.
