Editshare Diagnostics

How To Gather Editshare System Diagnostics

• Open the EditShare Control Panel 

• Double click on the Diagnostics Icon

• If the system is a multi-server cluster you will be asked whether you want to run diagnostics for this server only or all the servers in the cluster

• You will be asked which type of diagnostics to run. 
  • • Editshare Software Diagnostics
    • Raid Diagnostics
    • Both Editshare Software and Raid Diagnostic
• Choose the appropriate Diagnostics for the system issue.

• You will be asked what should be done with the diagnostics file when it is complete. Choose Save to SMB File Exchange.

• Choose how many days of log files you would like to be part of the diagnostics.

• Choose whether to collect a file listing or not. 

• Wait while the diagnostics are performed.  Then copy the diagnostic report off of the editshare server. The SMB File Exchange location can be mounted with Editshare Connect. 
• Upload the diagnostics to https://editshare.wetransfer.com and include the Zendesk ticket ID in the Title or Message box.
