Pinning Items in MediaSilo

In MediaSilo, you have the option to pin items from within your account ranging from Projects, Folders, Review links, and Presentations. Pinned items appear in the Pinned section at the bottom of the left navigation which will allow you to jump straight into the pinned item without needing to search for it.

Note: Pins are user specific.

How to Pin

The Pin option appears in the drop down whenever you right click on one of the four available items that can be pinned. Select the word Pin to add it to the Pinned section.

When you have pins with long names, you can drag the edge of the Pinned section to expand it and show more, or shrink it to free up space in the navigation.

How to unpin an item

Right-click the pin in the Pinned section and select Unpin.

Pin limit

You can have up to 10 pins at a time. A counter at the top of the Pinned section shows how many you're using (for example, 7/10). When you reach 10/10, MediaSilo shows a message letting you know you've hit the limit. Unpin an item to make room for a new one.

Drag and Drop

Pins work as drop targets and you can add content to the Pinned section by dragging and dropping.

• Projects and folders: Drag assets onto a pinned project or folder, then choose whether to Move or Copy them there.
• Review links: Drag assets onto a pinned review link to add them to it.
• Presentations: Drag assets onto a pinned presentation to add them. This works for presentations that support adding content, such as presentations with dynamic playlists.
