The Entities Library can be found in the Admin section of your workspace under AI. Here administrators can preemptively identify the people (faces) and logos that appear in their media by uploading them beforehand, delete specific entities, or view the entities currently available to the workspace.
How the Entities Library Works
Instead of waiting for the AI to find an "unknown" face or logo and manually identifying it, it is recommended to preemptively add known entities to the system for specific people or logos you know will frequently appear in your workflows. When you upload a reference image, any new asset that is uploaded and indexed will automatically match its contents against the entity and automatically tag the person or logo. If you add a new entity that the AI has already detected in previously indexed videos, the system will update those existing files to reflect the new name and image.
Image Specifications
There are specific file requirements for your entity uploads. Ensure the uploaded image is high resolution, well lit, and in full color.
For People (Faces):
- Aspect Ratio - Square
- File Size Limit - 5MB
- Accepted File Types JPG or PNG
For Logos:
- Aspect Ratio - Square or Landscape
- File Size Limit - 5MB
- Accepted File Types PNG or SVG
Note: The logo should have a transparent background.
Uploading Reference Images and Framing
To add a new person or logo, click on the + Add New icon located at the top right corner of the Entities Library. First type in the name for your entity. Next upload your file by Selecting Choose File.
You do not need to perfectly crop the image on your computer before uploading as MediaSilo provides a built-in zoom and crop tool so you can adjust the image directly on the platform. After you upload your chosen file, you will be given the option to zoom in or move the location of the image. If you are uploading a logo, you will also have the option to crop the image. Processing Time
When you submit a new entity or update an unknown image, it is submitted to the system for processing. This action is placed in a priority queue and while the update will reflect in your workspace very soon, it is not instantaneous.
Note: Updating or adding an entity does not reprocess your video files. The system already knows where that specific face or logo vector exists across your workspace. It only runs through your account and retags those instances with the new entities.
