When you add a new person or logo to the Entities Library, or when you identify an "unknown" face, the framing and quality of the image is critical to the AI's ability to accurately identify that entity moving forward.
Using the Built-In Zoom & Crop Tool
You do not need to use external photo editing software to perfectly crop an image before uploading it to MediaSilo. The platform provides a built-in zoom and crop tool during the upload process. You can use this feature to easily adjust the framing of your image within MediaSilo, ensuring the image is perfectly positioned. You will want to position the image within the displayed grid that appears in the zoom & crop tool.
What Makes a Good Reference Image?
The way you frame your image directly impacts the success of the AI's analysis. To ensure the highest level of accuracy, follow these guidelines:
- For People (Faces): Ensure the person's face is front and center, and clearly visible. Avoid using images where the person is zoomed too far out. If you use a full-body shot that includes their outfit and the background scene, it will greatly decrease the success rate of the vector. Use the zoom tool to isolate the image to only their face.
- For Logos: Be careful not to crop the image too tightly. Ensure the entire logo is front, center, and fully intact.
