When viewing an AI Indexed media asset, MediaSilo provides a sidebar that includes tabs for Transcripts, Highlights, and AI Tools. The Highlights panel is designed to work seamlessly with the AI Search function to help you quickly pinpoint specific moments in your media.
What is the Highlights Panel?
The Highlights panel is a visual tool that populates based on your AI Search queries. When you search for a specific term and open a resulting media asset, the Highlights panel displays all the instances where your searched keyword appears.
The system places markers directly on the video's detection timeline corresponding to these highlights, allowing you to click and instantly jump around to the exact moments your keyword is featured.
How to Search and Populate Highlights
To generate highlights, you can utilize the AI search bar or the search bar directly inside the Highlights panel. For more information on AI Search see: MediaSilo AI - AI Search. Wen you open a media asset from the search results, the Highlights panel will automatically open and display a summary of what was found. It will function the same way if you search directly inside the Highlights panel as well.
Sorting and Filtering Results
The Highlights panel automatically organizes and breaks down your results into distinct categories so you can easily review the different types of detections that were found. When viewing your highlights, you will see the total number of detections categorized by:
- Dialogue: Instances where the searched keyword is spoken, pulled from the transcript.
- Text: Instances where the searched keyword physically appears on the screen in the picture.
- Person: Instances where the searched keyword matches a recognized person in the video.
- Logos: Instances where the searched keyword matches a recognized brand logo.
- Scene Detection: Instances where the searched keyword matches the AI's semantic interpretation of the shot's visual action or environment.
